Technical information about the project

Unique system of heat recovery from a cooling loop of supercomputer “Salomon” in national supercomputing center in it4 Innovations Building. Cooling is done by a water loop on 30–50°C. Water loop cooling system on these temperatures by itself can save tens of percent of cooling operating costs, also thanks to the possibility of free cooling. Recovered energy is transferred to 5 heat pumps Master Therm AQ 180.2X with the total heating capacity of 450 kW (W40W60). On the secondary side, it is possible to reach up to 60°C with very high efficiency. Energy is used for space heating of the building and domestic hot water.
