Simultaneous Heating and Cooling – Orthopaedics Manufacturing Facility

Simultaneous heating and cooling using high and low temperature heat recovery heat pumps. One heat pump provides cooling at Delta T 8>5 Degrees used for manufacturing process and air-conditioning. Heat is rejected at approximately 35-45 Degrees and used as a heat source for a high temperature heat pump. Heat is rejected at 75 Degrees into existing LPHW circuit.

The system reduces the load on chillers thus reducing the electricity and gas usage of gas boilers. The whole system has been monitored and optimised remotely via the internet to ma- ximise energy savings. Annual primary energy savings approximately 1 GWh.
