Description

The Tower Grand is a fast domestic hot water heat exchanger for heat pumps with an enlarged coil. Developed based on the best features of the most efficient domestic hot water heat exchanger for heat pumps – Maxi. It complements the offer of standing domestic hot water heat exchangers with a spiral coil, based on the most popular tanks and offering the highest power output by the Maxi heaters.

The tank features a significantly enlarged spiral coil – even more than 2 times larger compared to conventional domestic hot water heat exchangers* – with a surface area ranging from 1.4m2 for the Tower Grand 160 model to 4.3m2 for the Tower Grand 500 model. Thanks to this solution, it provides an optimal solution for installations with both on-off and inverter type heat pumps. The wide range of capacities from 160 to 500 liters allows it to be adapted to the requirements of both small and large power heat pumps.

The hydraulic connections of the Tower Grand heat exchanger are designed at the back of the heater. This ensures convenient installation and facilitates daily operation. The rear part also features covers for mounting sensors from the heat pump and a socket for connecting a secondary return circulation pump. When using a circulation pump in the DHW installation, immediate water intake at a constant temperature is possible at any point of use. A large, easy-to-read thermometer is located in the front part of the tank. To ensure stability of the tank, each Grand ecylinder is equipped with adjustable leveling feet.

The Tower Grand can also be powered by an electric heater, which is installed with a complete electrical set GE on the Gw 6/4”.

The warranty for the safe use of Galmet domestic hot water heaters provides the highest quality anti-corrosion protection. The ceramic enamel EXTRA GLASS® used in Galmet enamel tanks creates a smooth and durable protective barrier on the inner surface of the tanks and spiral coil. It is applied by a “wet” method, evenly over the entire surface and fired at 850°C, ensuring exceptional durability. Its action is complemented by a standard magnesium anode installed. In Tower Grand water heaters, an optional maintenance-free, active titanium anode can also be used, which does not require servicing. Additional protection for the domestic hot water tank is provided by DIELECTRIC PROTECTION® securing tank connections.

The most efficient performance of a hot water exchanger, in addition to excellent tubing, is due to the proper insulation of tanks. A thick layer of rigid polyurethane foam insulation provides increased protection and therefore long maintenance of water temperature and low operating costs. Additionally, heat loss is further reduced by the external PVC casing installed on the insulation.
