Unique use of heat pumps for reverse extraction of heat by connection to process at a state-of-the-art research facility.

The Master Therm water-water heat pumps have a total heating power capacity of eight hundred and fifty kW and cooling capacity of six hundred and eighty kW dedicated to cooling individual research devices. The recovered heat is used for year-round space and domestic hot water heating. Heat pumps are also used for efficient absorption of surplus energy in combination with an array of dry coolers located on the roof. The solution includes the production of cooling water for the air-conditioning and under favourable conditions free cooling of the technology.

It is a remarkable solution and innovative installation of water- water heat pumps which combine reverse extraction of heat, state of art technological cooling and heating of the building in the air-water mode, uniquely without any defrosting energy demands or any increase of total energy consumption
